Philadelphia!

Here are some pictures from my recent trip to Philly:
(Ok, so, I Photoshopped this one picture just a bit. Philly really isn’t as ominous as I make it out to be.)

Engagement Pictures

No, not mine… some friends of ours asked Evelyn and myself if we’d take their engagement photos. Naturally, we jumped at the offer! We love doing it, and had a blast.

Wow. All I can say so far is wow. And if you missed it? Here is Evelyn enjoying her new iPhone as well.

Yes, that’s our dog, Lily. And yes, that’s how she sleeps… on her back.

Trying out the T-mobile G1 by posting a picture and blogging with an app called wpToGo. Pretty cool.
The Day After Earth Day
Posted by Christian Pizzirani in Project 366 (Photo a Day) 2008 on April 23, 2009
Now that Earth Day is over, do people usually just go back to their old ways? Here are some changes I’ve made over the past year or so to help out:
- I use my Dunkin Donuts reusable coffee cup for all drinks during my work day.
- Also at work, I brought in my own bowl for eating cereal and oatmeal in the morning (not mixed together, mind you.)
- I recycle every piece of paper that I can, even down to my page a day calendar pages.
- If I see a conference room at work with lights on or a projector running, I turn them off (unless someone is using them, then it would be just rude.)
- Our house uses reusable bags from Safeway for grocery shopping.
- I almost never ask for a bag from a store if I can simply carry the item(s) with my hands.
- We try to limit our heater/air conditioning and use fans or open windows as much as we can.
There’s tons more I know we can do, so it’s definitely a work in progress.

Ah, Scotland!
Posted by Christian Pizzirani in Project 366 (Photo a Day) 2008 on March 17, 2009
I’m writing this after getting a SOLID nights sleep, and man, did I need it. We left for Scotland at 1:30pm on Sunday, and I really only got about 2-3 hours sleep on the plane ride over. The plane was fine except that my screen on the seat in front of me didn’t show me the two channels I wanted to watch.
(I was looking forward to seeing The Day the Earth Stood Still and the GPS channel which showed the planes progress – cool!) Too bad mine didn’t work. Humph. That’s ok, I still had my ipod and psp to keep me entertained.
After landing in Edinburgh, we didn’t quite know where to wait for my sister; we probably should have discussed that before we left.
But her and her boyfriend Keith found us not much later, and right away, we were off to sightseeing! Talk about wasting no time.
They took us to this super old tree that apparently, only the locals know about.
We then got to check out my sisters place of work where we were “forced” to have deep fried Mars bars. Um, soooo good.
After a quick trip to Costco to get supplies for our mini-trip to a cabin tonight, we stopped by a pub to watch some Irish dancing. It was right near the castle.
We ended the night with some Mario Kart Wii where I didn’t play nearly as well as I should have.
I was just soooo sleepy. I must have appeared like I was drunk cause I wasn’t making sense for the last few hours of the day. Oh well. After a good night’s sleep, and a shower, I’m feeling MUCH better.

Day 204 – 021509

Coco, Jen, and Tom all came over today to watch the Dark Knight. Evelyn, myself, and Jen had all seen and really, really liked it. Jen and I had built it up a little, but that may have been too much. Coco had many questions, and Tom was restless around the 1 hour 30 minute mark. So, us fans were a little shocked to hear that they didn’t like it as much.
Regardless, seeing it in Blu Ray on the new TV was amazing to say the least. Simply amazing.

It’s Valentine’s Day! And Evelyn made us delicious steak with bell peppers. Soooo good. Unfortunately, we were both so full from a big lunch, we couldn’t eat much of it. Leftovers!

So, it’s Friday the 13th, and yes, Lily is freaked out. Well, maybe not by the 13th, but more so by the rain. She’s an odd dog.
